Juan C. Sanchez is a Cuban-American playwright based in Miami, Florida. He attended Florida State University and New World School of the Arts for Acting. In addition to Hurricane, a commissioned piece by CCTA, his plays include Long Distance Affair, Versace Era, A Grey Divide, Paradise Motel, and the immersive series Miami Motel Stories. Sanchez has been awarded the Florida Department of State’s Individual Artist Fellowship and three Playwright Development Program grants from the Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Council.
